Free X (Twitter) creator toolkit — 17 tools, no signup
XTapDown is a free creator toolkit for X (formerly Twitter) — 17 tools designed for people who post on X regularly and want faster workflows without signing up for yet another subscription.
The core downloaders handle X videos, GIFs, and image posts in original quality with no watermark or overlay. Threads are unrolled into a single readable page. Tweet screenshots export in light or dark mode with clean, shareable formatting.
Beyond downloading, the toolkit includes an advanced-search URL builder covering every 2026 X operator, a character counter with X-weighted math (CJK ×2, URLs count as 23 t.co chars), a thread splitter that respects sentence boundaries, an X Ads Revenue estimator using the 2026 Premium Creator payout model, and a public-formula engagement rate calculator with tier-aware benchmarks.
The data tools include a 40-niche hashtag library with curated verified tags, best-time-to-post windows for 16 countries backed by timezone-adjusted engagement data, a viral tweet finder with hand-picked creator lists per niche, a hook library with 20 proven opener categories, and a full search-operator cheatsheet.
Every tool works without signup, without login, without an email address. There is no premium tier, no locked features, and no ad units — the site is a personal project maintained by one developer.
XTapDown also ships as an MCP server (xtapdown-mcp on npm), exposing 14 of these tools directly to Claude Desktop, Cursor, Cline, and any client speaking the Model Context Protocol.

Built XTapDown after getting fed up with "free" X toolkit sites that either paywall the useful bits or exist to farm affiliate signups. Wanted something actually free — no signup, no ads, no premium tier — and that I'd use myself. Started with the video downloader, then kept adding tools when friends asked: hashtag library across 40 niches, engagement calculator with tier-aware benchmarks, thread splitter, best-time-to-post data for 16 countries, hook library, ads revenue calculator. Then wrapped 14 of them as an MCP server so Claude Desktop, Cursor, and Cline users can call them directly without leaving their chat window. 17 tools now, all free, one dev. Feedback welcome — especially edge cases where the downloaders trip up on weird media types.
Been using this for a bit and it's honestly become one of my go-to X utilities. Love that everything just works without signups or paywalls. Solid work.
Love that this is a free X/Twitter creator toolkit with no signup wall. The breadth (17 tools) makes it useful as a daily Swiss-army knife for scheduling/cleanup workflows. One question: do you plan native lists/export for bulk unfollow audits?

Not on the roadmap right now. The toolkit deliberately stays read-only on public data — anything touching your follow graph needs write access to your account, which means OAuth, which means the signup wall I built this to avoid. Export of what the tools already read is a different question and more likely.
The character counter with real X-weighted math (CJK counting double, URLs as 23 t.co chars) is the kind of detail most toolkits get wrong, and the MCP server packaging is a smart distribution move — meeting creators inside Claude/Cursor instead of fighting for another browser tab. Genuine question on the downloaders: how do you keep them resilient when X changes its private API endpoints? That maintenance treadmill is usually what kills no-signup tools like this, and the answer matters a lot for people building workflows on top.

Fair concern, and it's the right thing to ask. The honest answer is that it doesn't use a private API — it reads cdn.syndication.twimg.com/tweet-result, the public endpoint that powers embedded tweets across the open web. That's why it's held up: X has a strong incentive not to break embeds, so this surface moves far less than the internal ones. That's not immunity though. It's undocumented, so it can change without notice. What I do instead of pretending otherwise: responses are cached briefly, and every failure maps to an explicit status (notFound / upstream / noMedia) rather than a silent empty result — so when it does break I find out from monitoring, not from users.
Building WHY., a diagnostic tool for SaaS email friction.
The no-signup design is the differentiator here. Most creator toolkits bury half their value behind authentication, so you lose users before they find what they need. Working instantly changes whether someone even tries it.

The X-weighted character counter with CJK counting double is a detail most counters get wrong - posting in Chinese or Japanese burns through the limit twice as fast and vanilla counters lie to you about it. No-signup is refreshing too. One question: how does the thread unroll handle a deleted tweet mid-thread?

Good question. The walk goes upward from the last tweet via in_reply_to_status_id_str. If a parent 404s (deleted or protected), the loop breaks and you get the partial thread — everything from that gap down to the tweet you pasted. No error, no hang, just a shorter result. Anything above the deletion is unrecoverable; the syndication endpoint has no way to reach it. Two other guards in the same loop: a seen-set so a cycle can't spin it, and an author lock — it stops the moment a parent belongs to a different account, so it never wanders out of the self-thread into someone else's replies.

Definitely a useful utility. Nice to see a no sign-up utility!

Thanks — no signup was the whole point. The trade is real though: no accounts means no saved history and no idea who's actually using it. Still worth it.
Looks like a great product - how can I sign up

No signup needed for the tools — paste a link and use them. No account, no email, no premium tier. If you meant staying in the loop, there is a newsletter: xtapdown.com/newsletter — that's the only place an email is asked for, and it's optional.
It's an incredibly efficient tool that saves me the hassle of opening several websites.
Migration tool to move personal data from Meta and X to BluSky
A free X toolkit with no signup is rare. Of the 17 tools, which ones help with export/archive hygiene (media download, thread capture, deleted-tweet gaps) versus day-to-day posting? I’m in the X/Meta → Bluesky migration space: creators often need both “clean up / export what I have” and “keep posting on X while I move.” Curious if you’ve seen users combine XTapDown with archive-based migrators, and where the toolkit stops short of a full archive.

Good question — the split is roughly 6 / 11. Archive & export hygiene: - Tweet Downloader — single tweet or self-thread as PDF, ZIP, offline HTML, Markdown or JSON - Video / GIF / Image downloaders — original quality, no re-encode - Tweet Screenshot — visual capture when you want the rendering, not the data - Advanced Search + operator cheatsheet — finding what you need to capture Day-to-day posting: - Character counter (X-weighted: CJK ×2, URLs 23), thread splitter, hook library, font generator, hashtag library, best-time-to-post, trends, engagement + ad revenue calculators, viral tweet finder Where it stops short of a full archive — and this matters for your use case: 1. It's per-URL, not bulk. There is no "export my account." You paste one tweet at a time. 2. Thread walking only goes upward through your OWN thread. It locks to the first author and stops the moment a parent belongs to someone else, so cross-account conversations aren't captured — only self-threads. 3. Cap is 30 tweets per thread; past that the response is flagged truncated. 4. A deleted or protected tweet mid-thread breaks the walk. You get everything below the gap; anything above it is unrecoverable, because the public syndication endpoint has no path to it. 5. Fields captured are text, timestamp, author, like count and reply count. Not retweet/quote/bookmark counts, not DMs, not your likes or bookmarks. So the honest positioning: it's a scalpel, not an exporter. X's own archive export (Settings → Download an archive) is what gives you the bulk JSON — but that archive is weak exactly where this is strong: media often comes back downscaled or missing, and there's no readable rendering of a thread. That's the gap it fills. On your second question — I genuinely don't know. No signup means no accounts, no analytics on individuals, so I can't see whether anyone is pairing it with a migrator. If you try it alongside one I'd be interested in where it breaks.
great, u also shipped mcp server !!

Having all these Twitter utilities in one spot instead of scattered across 10 different tabs is a lifesaver. Definitely bookmarking
I like the whole website design and incredibly easy-to-use UI
