By Industry
1. Dental & Medical Practices (Patient Coordination)
- Use Case: A patient calls in with a toothache. The AI answers immediately, asks triage questions to determine the severity, and checks Google Calendar. If it's a routine checkup, it books the appointment. If the patient mentions severe pain or bleeding, the AI immediately transfers the call to the live front desk.
- Benefit: Reduces hold times, ensures HIPAA-aware initial contact, and keeps the front desk focused on patients in the waiting room.
2. Real Estate (Lead Qualification)
- Use Case: An AI agent instantly calls back a new lead generated from a Facebook Ad. It asks the prospect about their budget, timeline, and neighborhood preferences. It then logs these answers directly into HubSpot or Salesforce and schedules a property viewing or consultation with a human agent.
- Benefit: Speed-to-lead is maximized (contacting leads within seconds of submission), which drastically increases conversion rates.
3. Home Services & Trades (Dispatch & Booking)
- Use Case: A homeowner calls a plumbing company after hours because a pipe burst. The AI answers, captures the address and emergency details, sends a confirmation SMS to the homeowner, and simultaneously pages the on-call plumber with the job details.
- Benefit: Captures emergency jobs 24/7 without needing to pay a human answering service.
4. Salons & Spas (Reception & Scheduling)
- Use Case: A client calls during the busy weekend rush to book a haircut and color. The AI checks the stylist's calendar, finds an open slot, books it, and sends an automated SMS confirmation to the client.
- Benefit: Prevents missed calls from turning into lost revenue when stylists are busy with clients.
By Business Function
1. 24/7 Overflow & After-Hours Reception
- Use Case: Businesses route calls to the AI only when their human staff don't answer within 3 rings, or when the office is closed. The AI handles basic FAQs (hours, location, pricing) and takes detailed messages or books follow-up calls.
2. Outbound Sales Campaigns
- Use Case: An agency uploads a list of past customers. The AI dials through the list to offer a seasonal discount or ask for feedback, qualifying interested buyers and transferring them to a live sales rep.
3. Appointment Reminders & Confirmations
- Use Case: Instead of just sending an SMS, the AI calls patients/clients the day before their appointment. If the client needs to reschedule, the AI handles it conversationally right on the phone and updates the calendar instantly.
4. B2B SaaS Customer Support (Tier 1)
- Use Case: The AI agent acts as the first line of phone support. It uses a connected Knowledge Base to answer common technical questions or billing inquiries. If it can't resolve the issue, it creates a support ticket and transfers the user to a human engineer.

44AI Voice SAAS
Hey everyone! 👋 Osama here, creator of Wirevox I’m so excited to finally share this with the community today! The Backstory: The idea for Wirevox came from a frustrating, yet incredibly common experience. I noticed that local businesses (dental clinics, plumbers, salons) were constantly missing calls because they were simply too busy serving the customers right in front of them. Every missed call is a missed opportunity, a frustrated customer, and lost revenue. On the flip side, hiring a 24/7 human answering service is just too expensive for most small-to-medium businesses. I realized that with the recent leaps in LLMs and low-latency voice synthesis, we could finally build an AI receptionist that doesn't just sound like a clunky phone tree, but actually holds a natural, empathetic conversation. What is Wirevox? It’s a platform that lets you deploy ultra-realistic AI voice agents in minutes. Instead of just taking messages, Wirevox agents can: Book appointments directly by checking live availability on Google Calendar. Qualify inbound and outbound leads and sync the data instantly to CRMs like HubSpot or Salesforce. Triage emergencies and intelligently route urgent calls to a live human when necessary. Trigger post-call automations, like sending an SMS confirmation right after booking. Behind the Scenes: Building this was a massive technical challenge—mostly around getting the latency down so the AI doesn't constantly interrupt the caller. We ended up building a dynamic, multi-model architecture. Depending on your needs, you can route calls through OpenAI's Realtime models, Google Gemini Live, or Anthropic, paired with ultra-fast speech-to-text from Deepgram and voice synthesis from ElevenLabs. We’ve also included a white-label Agency plan for those who want to build and sell these voice agents to their own clients! I’d love your feedback! We are constantly iterating and would love to hear your thoughts. What integrations would make this a no-brainer for your business? How do you feel about AI handling first-touch customer support? I'll be hanging out in the comments all day to answer questions, talk architecture, or just chat about the future of voice AI. Cheers! 🚀

Clean execution. The triage logic + live calendar booking is where most voice agents fall apart — if you've nailed that latency and handoff, this solves a real pain point. Curious how it handles ambiguous caller intent. Nice launch 🚀
AI Voice SAAS
Thanks for the support! To handle ambiguous intent, we do two main things: Clarification Loops: Because we run on modern LLMs (GPT-4o / Gemini 2.0) rather than fragile, rigid intent-mapping frameworks, the AI actually holds a natural conversation. If a caller says something vague like "I need to book sometime next week," the agent immediately follows up with conversational clarifying questions to narrow down the intent before trying to trigger any tools. Defensive Prompting & Guardrails: Our prompt templates instruct the agent to err on the side of caution: if the caller's request remains ambiguous or confused, it is guided to say, "I want to make sure we get this right. Let me get you over to a human who can help," and triggers an immediate warm transfer.
This AI voice agent platform appears to be a strong and commercially viable solution for businesses that depend heavily on phone-based customer interactions. Its combination of inbound and outbound calling, real-time appointment booking, live call transfers, automated SMS follow-ups, CRM synchronization, and post-call summaries addresses many of the operational gaps caused by missed calls, limited staffing, and slow lead response times. One of the product’s strongest advantages is its multi-model architecture. Supporting models from OpenAI, Google Gemini, and Anthropic allows businesses to select the most suitable AI model based on conversational quality, latency, reliability, or cost. The integration with voice technology providers such as ElevenLabs and Deepgram could also help deliver more natural conversations than traditional automated phone systems.
AI Voice SAAS
Thank you for the detailed feedback! You hit on our core design philosophy: modular flexibility. By decoupling the STT, LLM, and TTS layers (leveraging OpenAI, Gemini, ElevenLabs, and Deepgram), we let businesses customize their setup to find their own perfect balance of natural voice quality, latency, and cost. Appreciate the support and look forward to building more features to bridge these operational gaps!

Helping freelancers and agencies prevent scope creep by capturing project requirements before work begins
This solves a real operational problem for service businesses. The combination of 24/7 inbound/outbound calling, live appointment booking, CRM syncing, and intelligent call transfers makes it much more than just a voice bot. I also like that it supports multiple AI models instead of locking users into a single provider, giving businesses more flexibility as models evolve. For agencies, the white-labeling and multi-tenant workspaces are particularly valuable. Definitely a platform worth watching for anyone looking to automate customer calls without sacrificing the customer experience.
AI Voice SAAS
Thank you! We specifically designed the platform with agencies and resellers in mind. Giving agencies the ability to partition clients into multi-tenant workspaces, customize their own profit margins on usage, and switch out models as tech evolves is core to the Wirevox ecosystem. Appreciate the support!

The combination of live Google Calendar booking and emergency-aware human handoff feels especially practical for clinics and service businesses—missed calls are costly, but fully automated routing can be risky. I also like that CRM sync and post-call SMS close the loop instead of treating the call as an isolated interaction. How do you help teams review and tune escalation rules when a caller’s intent is ambiguous?
AI Voice SAAS
Great question. Reviewing and tuning escalation behavior is a key part of the platform. We support this through: Full Call Transcripts & Summaries: Every call is fully transcribed and summarized in the dashboard. You can review the exact conversational path to see where ambiguity occurred and why the model decided to escalate (or why it didn't). The Call Playground: Before launching an agent live, teams can use our interactive Web Playground to simulate calls, test intent scenarios, and iteratively tune prompt instructions and tool rules until the safety threshold is exactly where you want it. Thanks for the feedback!
HI
Wirevox looks like a practical solution for businesses that cannot afford to miss customer calls. The combination of natural voice conversations, appointment booking, CRM syncing, and live call transfers is especially useful. I also like that it supports both inbound and outbound workflows. Great launch!
AI Voice SAAS
Thank you! Making sure local businesses never miss a call—whether that means picking up an inbound lead or proactively qualifying outbound campaigns—is exactly what we set out to solve. Really appreciate the support!
The multi-model routing (OpenAI Realtime, Gemini Live, Anthropic) is a smart hedge as latency and voice quality keep shifting between providers. The part I'd want proof on is the triage threshold — an AI that's too confident and fails to escalate a real emergency is the one failure mode that undoes all the calls it handled well. Does it default to a human handoff whenever caller intent is ambiguous, or only on explicit emergency keywords? Solid launch either way.
AI Voice SAAS
Great question. The short answer is: it can do both, and it is entirely up to you. Because of our Prompt-First architecture, we don't hardcode any escalation triggers. If you want to be extremely conservative, you can write system prompt instructions instructing the agent to trigger a human handoff the moment the caller sounds confused, ambiguous, or asks a question outside the core database. If you only want escalations on explicit keywords (e.g., 'leak', 'broken', 'pain'), you can define those explicit triggers instead. We highly recommend erring on the side of caution and prompting the agent defensively!

My dentist literally cannot pick up the phone mid-procedure, so the use case is obvious. The make-or-break moment imo is the handoff — when a caller realizes it's an AI and asks for a human, how fast is that transfer? People forgive a robot answering, they don't forgive being trapped by one. Also, points for having Clio in the integrations — everyone forgets lawyers exist.
AI Voice SAAS
Excellent point. Nobody wants to feel trapped in a voice menu loop. Handoff Speed: The transfer is near-instantaneous (sub-second carrier latency). The moment a caller asks for a human, the model invokes the transfer_call tool, our backend immediately triggers a native SIP bridge command to Telnyx, and the line is routed to the office phone line. Clio Integration: Thanks for noticing! Legal intake is a high-stakes, high-value case, and integrating natively with Clio makes capturing client details frictionless for busy boutique firms. Appreciate the support!
Clean ! What languages does it support?
AI Voice SAAS
We currently support only English and French, we are going to roll out 27 new languages this August. Stay Tuned!
Really interesting use case. I’d be curious how you handle the uncomfortable middle ground between normal booking and obvious emergency, especially when caller intent is vague. Does Wirevox default to a human handoff when confidence is low, or can teams tune that threshold per business?
AI Voice SAAS
Great question. Yes, teams can tune this threshold completely per business. Because we use a Prompt-First architecture, you define the agent's behavior in plain-text instructions. For the 'middle ground,' you can explicitly instruct the model: "If a request is ambiguous, ask up to two clarifying questions. If the intent is still unclear or falls outside normal booking boundaries, immediately transfer to the office." This gives you the flexibility to place the confidence threshold exactly where the business owner feels safe. Thanks for the feedback!
Really solid use-case breakdown here — the dental triage example (routine booking vs. emergency transfer) is a great example of AI handling nuance instead of just following a script. The multi-model architecture (OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic) is a smart move too, since it lets you optimize per use case instead of being locked into one provider. Curious how latency holds up on live transfers during peak call volume — that's usually where voice AI tools struggle most.
AI Voice SAAS
Great question. We prevent peak-volume latency by offloading the bridging to the carrier: SIP Refer Offloading: The moment the AI triggers a transfer, our backend sends a single command to our carrier (Telnyx) to bridge the call. The AI instantly drops off the line. Zero Audio Proxying: Because the carrier handles the audio connection between the caller and your team directly, there is no server-side audio proxying lag. Latency remains sub-second, even during major call volume spikes. Thanks for the support!
what happens if the designated team member doesn’t answer? a fallback?
AI Voice SAAS
When the AI initiates a transfer, it hands off call control to your carrier/phone system. Here are the fallbacks: Your Existing Phone Routing (Voicemail/PBX): Since the call is bridged directly to your team's number, if they don’t answer, the call defaults to your standard office phone system behavior (e.g., routing to another teammate, a ring group, or your office voicemail). Wirevox Voicemail Fallback (take_message): If you prefer not to risk a caller hitting a human voicemail, you can instruct the AI to offer to take a structured message first using the built-in take_message tool, which automatically transcriptions the request and alerts the team via SMS/Email.

AI voice agents handling inbound calls is a genuinely hard problem — most solutions fail on edge cases like accents, background noise, or when callers go off-script. Curious how Wirevox handles those situations: does it escalate to a human, or try to recover on its own? Also, how does the CRM sync work — is it real-time during the call or a post-call batch update?
AI Voice SAAS
Great questions! Here is how we handle both: Accents, Noise & Off-Script: We use state-of-the-art STT models (Deepgram Nova-3 & Gladia) that are exceptionally robust against accents and background noise. If a caller goes off-script, the LLM first attempts to politely steer them back. If they remain confused or explicitly ask for help, the prompt-level guardrails guide the agent to trigger a human transfer. CRM Sync (Real-Time): Our CRM integrations sync in real-time during the call. The moment the agent gathers booking details or call notes and triggers the sync tool, the CRM (like Clio or custom webhooks) is updated instantly. This ensures that if the call is transferred to a human teammate, they can see the client record updated on their screen before they even say hello. Thanks for the feedback!
An AI voice agent for businesses is a game changer. The appointment reminder feature is very useful.
The triage piece is where I would put the trust story, even more than the booking. Low latency and a natural voice get someone to keep talking, but the moment that actually protects the business is the emergency handoff. A burst pipe or a patient in real pain that the AI fails to escalate is the one bad outcome that undoes all the calls it saved. How conservative is that threshold, and does it err toward transferring to a human when it is unsure rather than trying to handle it itself? The other thing I would test hard is disclosure. Callers tend to forgive a bot that says it is a bot up front, and forgive nothing if they feel tricked into one. Getting those two right would make the after hours use case a genuinely easy yes for a nervous small business owner.
AI Voice SAAS
Spot on. The 'trust story' is all about the emergency handoff. Here is how we address those two points: Emergency Handoff: Because we are Prompt-First, you have absolute control over the threshold. You can explicitly instruct the AI: "If the caller mentions an emergency (like a burst pipe) or if you are unsure how to handle a query, immediately invoke the transfer tool." The system will execute an instant SIP transfer to your on-call human. Upfront Disclosure: We completely agree that callers hate feeling tricked. We don't hide the AI; the welcome greeting is fully customizable so you can disclose the bot up front (e.g., "Hi, I'm the virtual assistant for Acme Corp...
The most compelling part is not just answering calls, but closing the loop: booking into the live calendar, updating the CRM, and sending the confirmation without a staff member stitching those steps together. For local businesses, I’d be especially interested in how you handle calendar conflicts or last-minute reschedules—does the agent have a clear fallback when it cannot confidently offer a slot? That reliability layer feels like the difference between a demo and something a busy front desk can trust.
AI Voice SAAS
Completely agree. A scheduling assistant is only as good as its fallback logic. Here is how we handle conflicts and close the loop: Conflict Fallbacks: When our booking tool detects a calendar conflict or API error (like a slot that just got booked), it returns a structured failure response to the AI. The agent is prompted to handle this gracefully: it will immediately offer alternative slots or fallback to saying, "I'm having trouble booking that slot directly. Let me take down your name and number, and the front desk will call you to confirm." Closing the Loop: The booking tool handles the entire sequence—reserving the slot, updating the CRM, and queueing the SMS confirmation—as a single transaction. This prevents 'half-completed' actions so the front desk is never left stitching steps together.
Nice!
This is a great example of how AI can work alongside humans instead of simply replacing them. Smart call handling and human handoff are valuable features. https://101games.io/
