30Hi, maker here. I built VotreAssistantIA for tradesmen (plumbers, electricians, roofers) who lose jobs simply because they can't answer the phone while they're on a job site. It answers calls and messages, asks the right qualifying questions, checks photos if needed, and books the appointment straight onto the tradesman's calendar. Happy to answer questions about how the qualification flow works per trade.

To make it concrete, here's how the qualification flow works for a plumber. When someone calls about a leak, the assistant first asks whether water is still running (emergency or can wait), then the address, then asks for a photo of the problem. The plumber gets a short summary with the urgency level, and the appointment lands on their calendar. Each trade has its own questions, so an electrician's flow is different, with safety checks first. Curious which trade you'd want to see a flow for.

Do you support Asian countries as well?
Thanks! It's currently France-only: French language, French trades (plumbing, electrical, roofing). I'm focusing on getting that market right before looking at other countries.
Booking straight into the calendar instead of just taking a message is what turns this from voicemail into a revenue tool. Two things I'd want to know before a trial: how it handles a caller who refuses to talk to a bot and insists on a human, and whether the photo check works only over SMS/WhatsApp or also via a web link. No long contract makes the trial easy.
Good questions. Today customers reach the assistant through a web link (a shareable page or QR code), not through SMS or WhatsApp. WhatsApp is planned as an optional channel but isn't live yet. On the photo check: it works inside that web chat. If the caller doesn't want to talk to a bot, they can still call the tradesman directly. The assistant is there for the calls he can't pick up on a job site. And yes, there's no long-term contract.

Hi, how many languegs does it support? is Amharic available?
Hi Amanuel, thanks for asking! VotreAssistantIA is built first for French-speaking tradesmen, so French is the main language today. The assistant understands and answers customers in other major languages too, but I haven't tested Amharic, so I can't promise it. If you have a specific use case in mind, tell me and I'll gladly check it for you.
Curious: which trade would you like to see a demo for first, plumbing, electrical or roofing?

Hi, how many languegs does it support? is Amharic available?
Thanks! Right now it's built for French-speaking tradesmen, so the assistant works in French. Amharic isn't supported. A multilingual version isn't on the near-term roadmap, so I'd rather be upfront than promise it.
nice one , do you support other countires aswell

Just tried it — the UI is clean and fast. Bookmarked to explore more features. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!
This feels like a practical use case for AI—plumbers and electricians often can’t answer calls while working. Gathering job details and booking appointments could save a lot of back-and-forth. How does it handle urgent requests or situations that need the tradesperson’s judgment? Can it transfer the call or send an immediate alert?
Exactly the problem we're solving. For urgent cases? The tradesperson keeps control of what gets booked.

Interesting how did you build this?
Thanks, Liam! It's a serverless app on Vercel (Node), with Supabase for data and auth. The assistant is driven by Claude with tool calling: it asks the trade-specific qualifying questions, checks photos, then books straight into the tradesperson's calendar via Nylas. Voice calls run through Vapi with ElevenLabs voices, SMS/phone through Twilio, and notifications and recaps by email with Resend. The hardest part wasn't the stack, it was the qualification flow per trade (what a plumber needs to know vs. a roofer). Happy to go deeper on any part!
The photo check is a smart addition because it can help a tradesperson estimate materials and urgency before accepting the job. A short caller-confirmed summary plus clear photo retention controls would build trust. Can each business customize the qualifying questions by job type and service radius?
Thanks, great points. Qualifying questions for each trade could be an improvment. A summary confirmed by the caller is indeed what builds trust.
A useful demo would show how booking duration is estimated from the caller's job details and photos. For tradespeople, a short repair and a larger installation need different calendar slots. Showing a provisional slot that the business can confirm, plus travel buffers between jobs, would make the scheduling workflow easier to evaluate.
Useful idea. Different job types should indeed map to different slot lengths, and showing a provisional slot the business can confirm is a good way to demo it.
🙏 #2 Product of the Day, thank you! Thanks to everyone who upvoted, tried it and asked tough questions. Your feedback on urgent calls, photo checks, languages and appointment durations is really valuable, and we'll keep answering every comment. Built for tradesmen who miss jobs because they can't pick up the phone.
This is a really practical use of AI for tradesmen. I like that it goes beyond answering calls and actually qualifies the job, checks photos when needed, and books directly on the calendar. One thing I’d be interested in is how the AI handles calls that need a human, especially urgent jobs or situations where the customer’s request is outside the supported services.
