Create Polls & Surveys in 30 seconds - No Signup for anyone

**VoteGenerator is a free online poll and survey maker built on one constraint: neither the person creating the poll nor the people answering it should need an account.**
Type a question, add options, share a link. No signup, no email, no app. Works on any device.
## What it does
**Eight poll types**
**Automatic NPS scoring.** A 0–10 question segments responses into Promoters, Passives and Detractors and calculates the score.
**120+ editable templates** across HR, customer feedback, education, events, healthcare, property, community and procurement.
**Native Slack app** — slash commands, voting inside the message with results updating in place, AI poll generation from a plain-language description, and recurring polls that post themselves on a timezone-aware schedule so a Monday pulse fires at 9am in each person's own local time.
**Server-side anonymity.** Anonymous Mode is opt-in per poll and enforced on the backend rather than hidden in the UI. When enabled, device type, country, region and referrer are never collected — not collected and hidden — and timestamps are stored as dates, so responses can't be re-identified by arrival order.
**Sharing** by link, downloadable QR code, or iframe embed. Results update in real time.
## What it isn't
Not a live-presentation tool — no word clouds or projector mode, so Poll Everywhere and Mentimeter fit that better. No skip logic or cross-tabulation, so it won't replace a research platform. And not built for legally binding elections; for board votes or union ballots, use a purpose-built platform.
## Pricing
**Free forever** — 3 active polls, 100 responses each, all 8 poll types, 30-day duration. No credit card, no trial. No ads. No signup. No registration.
**Pro $19/month** — 10,000 responses per poll, unlimited polls, CSV export, custom short links, one-year duration. $19/month billed monthly · $16/month billed annually ($190/year)
**Business $49/month** — 100,000 responses, white-label embeds, single-use access codes, domain restriction. $49/month billed monthly · $41/month billed annually ($490/year)
Flat per account, not per seat. No per-response overage charges. No ads on any plan.

This started because I wanted to survey a team and every tool I looked at wanted an email, a signup, an account. All that friction for one question. So I spent the past year building the version I actually wanted. No signup, no email collection, no registration, no ads on any plan including the free one. You make a poll, share a link, and nobody has to create anything. Not you, not the people answering. Everyone tells me I need to collect emails for this to work and they're probably right. But I get enough email already and I didn't want to be another thing in someone's inbox. The other reason it exists is that group votes keep landing on options most of the group didn't want. I simulated 660,000 votes to see how often that happens and with five options on the ballot the winner has no real majority 84% of the time. Ranked choice fixes it and it's free here. Solo founder, bootstrapped, no investors. Would love to hear what's missing.

No signup for the creator *or* the respondents is the actual product. Ranked-choice with every elimination round visible, plus server-side anonymity (dates not timestamps, no device/geo), is a much more serious poll tool than the 30-second pitch suggests. Slack recurring pulses that fire at 9am in each person's timezone is the one

The server-side anonymity promise is unusually clear. How do Business single-use access codes prevent repeat voting without weakening that privacy model?
Founder
The codes stop the reuse, they don't sit on on the response. The poll tracks which codes has been spent so a code only works once. With anonymous mode on, the code isn't written to the vote itself, so the server knows a code was used and not what that person answered. The weak point isn't the code system though, it's the distribution. If you code ABC123 to one person and keep a list of who got what, nothing the software can do to stop that. That defeats the purpose of getting anonymous answers from your employees.
Really like the no-signup approach — removing that friction makes a lot of sense for quick polls. The different poll types and real-time results are a nice touch too. Great work!

love that ranked choice voting catches the arrow's paradox - most groups do land on options they didn't want. this solves real decision making friction without the inbox spam problem. clean product design

Privacy first approach by developers is commendable. No signup means no data sharing risk and can do the intended task.

No signup required for both creators and respondents is an absolute game changer for quick feedback loops. The built in server side anonymity and Slack app integration are fantastic additions. Great launch!

This is a pretty cool setup, especially for quick group decisions where nobody wants to make another account just to vote. I also like that ranked choice is included instead of forcing everything into a basic yes/no poll. I’m curious about one thing though: when a ranked-choice vote ends in a really close result or tie, how does VoteGenerator handle it? That’s something I’d want to know before using it for a bigger group. I’ve also been playing around with decision-making tools like https://decidal.com/, so I’m always interested in seeing different approaches to group decisions.

Ties get broken alphabetically, no elegant I know but it's deterministic, so the ballots always give the same result and this way no on can argue the count changed in-between rounds. I'll have a look a decidal.
Showing every elimination round in the ranked-choice results is the right call - instant-runoff outcomes look arbitrary until you can see where the votes moved. The anonymity design is the other thing worth pointing at: enforcing it on the backend and storing timestamps as dates is a materially different promise from hiding fields in the UI. With no signup on either side, how is ballot stuffing handled - rate limiting, or something else?
Founder
Cookie-based on the free plan, so it stops casual double-voting and not much more. Someone with three browsers can get around it and I'd rather say that than pretend otherwise. On the paid plans unique single-use access codes, one per person, each works once, and the code isn't tied to a name. It means you can have one response per person and genuine anonymity at the same time. Google Forms can't do both, since enforcing the limit there requires people to sign in. There's also rate limiting and domain restriction for embeds. But for anything where the outcome could be challenged like a board vote, a union ballot, etc, you want a real election platform with a verified voter list, and this isn't made for that.

The no-account constraint is the actual product, not a feature list. Instant-runoff ranked choice with elimination rounds is unusual for a 30-second tool — most poll makers stop at radio buttons. How do you keep ranked-choice results honest when anyone with the link can vote more than once?
Founder
On the free version, voting is cookie-based. That’s good for stopping accidental repeat votes, but someone who is determined could still get around it with another browser or device. There’s rate limiting as well, but it’s not meant to be a verified election system. On the Business plan there’s a stronger option: single-use access codes. Each person gets one code, each code can only be used once, and the code isn’t stored with the vote. So you can limit it to one response per person while keeping the actual answers anonymous. That’s something Google Forms struggles to do because one-response-per-person normally means requiring sign-in. Ranked choice also makes casual vote stuffing a bit harder. Someone isn’t just clicking one option repeatedly; they have to submit an entire preference order, and unusual patterns can become more noticeable through the elimination rounds. It doesn’t solve the identity problem, but it does make manipulation less straightforward. For anything high-stakes where the result could realistically be challenged, like a board election or union ballot, I would use a dedicated election platform with a verified voter list. VoteGenerator is built for quick, low-friction voting, not to replace that.
