Android gallery, file manager, and flexible cloud sync
SyncGallery is an Android gallery, file manager, media editor, and flexible sync tool in one app. Browse and organize photos, videos, and files, then back them up or synchronize them with cloud accounts, NAS devices, and remote servers.
Create one-way or two-way sync rules, preview planned operations before the first sync, and control conflicts, deletions, schedules, and safety thresholds. Files transfer directly between your device and the storage you select.

32I started building SyncGallery because Android has good gallery apps, file managers, and sync tools, but I could not find one that brought all three together naturally. I wanted one place to browse and edit media, manage local, cloud, and network files, and create flexible sync rules. Trust is especially important to me. Before a new rule runs, SyncGallery shows the planned uploads, downloads, updates, and deletions so users can review what will happen. I would love feedback, especially from people who manage photos across several devices or storage services.
Trust is paramount to me. Before applying new rules, SyncGallery displays the planned upload, download, update, and deletion operations, allowing users to preview the upcoming changes. I would greatly appreciate feedback, especially from users who need to manage photos across multiple devices or storage services.
Thank you for highlighting this. Transparency is central to SyncGallery, especially when updates or deletions are involved. Feedback from people managing large libraries across multiple devices, cloud accounts, or NAS storage is always welcome.

Combining gallery, file manager, and sync into one Android app is a smart call — juggling three separate apps for this is a real pain point. The pre-sync preview for uploads/downloads/deletions is the standout feature for me; that kind of transparency before an automated rule touches your files is exactly what builds trust. Curious how it handles conflict resolution when two-way sync hits simultaneous edits on both ends. Nice work, Sasha!
Thanks! If both copies changed since the last sync, SyncGallery does not guess which one should win. It parks the task and waits for review. You can then choose to upload the device version, download the cloud version, or leave the task parked until you are ready. Nothing is overwritten automatically.
The pre-sync preview is a really good idea, especially for deletion rules. That's usually the part that makes me nervous with sync tools. One thing I'd be curious about: if I approve a rule and realize afterwards that it deleted or overwrote the wrong files, is there any rollback or recovery mechanism? Feels like that could make the safety story even stronger.
That is a fair point. SyncGallery does not currently provide its own rollback or file version history. Task history shows exactly what happened, but recovery depends on the storage provider, such as its recycle bin or version history. That is why preview and parked tasks are our main safety layers today. A built-in recovery flow would definitely make this stronger.

The pre-sync preview is a really nice touch. Having that level of control over files and deletions makes SyncGallery feel much safer to use. Nice work!
Thanks! That was exactly the goal. Sync should never feel like a black box, especially when deletions are involved. We want users to see what will happen and stay in control before any changes are made.
The preview before the first sync is what got my attention. Knowing exactly what will upload or delete before it happens saves you from those scary accidents. I like that it works with NAS and FTP too, not just the usual cloud drives.
Thanks! Avoiding those scary surprises is exactly why we built the preview. We also wanted SyncGallery to work with storage people already own and trust, including NAS, WebDAV, SFTP, and FTP, instead of locking everyone into one cloud provider.

Thank you! File sync becomes stressful when the app makes decisions silently. Our goal is to show every planned change first, especially deletions, so the user always has the final say.

As someone who always struggles with backing up photos locally from phone to NAS, having an app that handles both "gallery browsing" and "automated sync" in one place is such a lifesaver!
Thank you! Phone-to-NAS backup is one of the main use cases we built SyncGallery for. You can browse your photos, choose exactly what should sync, and send them directly to storage you control without relying on another cloud service.
SyncGallery Your product has strong potential, but I found a few key improvements that could make it even better. I'd love to share my feedback and suggestions—please contact me at [email protected].
Thank you for reviewing SyncGallery and for your interest in the product. We appreciate the offer and will contact you if we would like to discuss your suggestions further.
Hello
I came across SyncGallery today and was really impressed by how seamlessly it combines an Android media gallery and file manager with flexible cloud sync, letting you preview operations before executing one-way or two-way backups across your cloud accounts and NAS servers.
Thank you! That is exactly what we are trying to build: one place to browse and manage media, connect your own storage, and stay in control of every sync operation before it runs. Really glad the idea resonated with you.

Previewing uploads, updates, and deletions before a sync rule runs is the safety detail that makes two-way sync usable. Teams adding AI features to a product like this can explore PZERO at pzero.studio.
Thank you for the feedback. We agree that reviewing planned changes is especially important for two-way sync, where updates and deletions can affect files on both sides. We appreciate you taking the time to look at SyncGallery.
Transforming visions into digital realitiies
How's this different from Documents, Drive and similar apps?
Drive and similar apps mainly provide access to their own storage or focus on manual file management. SyncGallery is provider-independent and built around Android media. It combines a gallery, file manager, and configurable one-way or two-way sync across cloud accounts and NAS servers. It also previews uploads, downloads, updates, and deletions before execution, while conflicts are parked for your decision.
The dry-run preview before a sync rule executes is the feature that would actually make me trust this — seeing planned deletions ahead of time is exactly where other Android sync tools burn people. Merging gallery, file manager and sync into one app also removes the usual round-trip between three apps. Does conflict review let you keep both versions of a file, or is it pick-one?
Yes, conflict review includes a Keep Both option. When the same file changes on both sides, SyncGallery parks it for review instead of choosing automatically. You can keep the device version, keep the cloud version, or preserve both by creating a separately named copy. Nothing is overwritten until you make that choice.

Combining gallery, file‑manager and sync features into one app is incredibly practical. The preview‑before‑sync function greatly improves transparency and trust. Looking forward to better handling of file conflicts in future updates.
Thank you! Conflict handling is already a major focus for us. Ambiguous operations are parked for review, where you can choose the device version, the cloud version, or Keep Both. We will continue improving this flow to make conflicts easier to understand and resolve safely.

Love the idea of combining all three into a single app! The pre-sync preview feature is definitely a game changer. It takes away that constant anxiety of accidentally overwriting or deleting important files during a sync. Super useful tool!
Thank you! Reducing that anxiety is exactly why we built the preview. Sync should never feel like a leap of faith, especially when important photos and deletions are involved. We want every planned change to be visible before it happens.
I really like how simple and easy this product feels to use. It looks genuinely useful and well thought out. Great work!
Combining a gallery, file manager and sync tool in one Android app makes sense. The planned-operations preview is the strongest trust feature, especially before two-way sync. I would make the first run split the dry-run summary into uploads, downloads, updates and deletions, with destructive actions clearly separated. Can users save that preview as a report and compare it with the actual sync history afterward?
