Swimcast syncs podcast episodes from iPhone to compatible MP3 swim headphones. It is built for swimmers who want fresh episodes underwater without Bluetooth or laptop file dragging. Pick episodes, set playback order, connect OpenSwim-style devices or other compatible waterproof MP3 players that appear as writable storage in iOS Files, and sync directly to the audio folder.
Free download with an optional Swimcast Plus lifetime unlock. Swimcast is independent and is not affiliated with headphone manufacturers.

4Hi, I'm Leonard, the maker of Swimcast. It focuses on the pre-swim workflow: choose fresh podcast episodes on iPhone, arrange the playback order, and sync them to compatible MP3 swim headphones without a laptop. Bluetooth does not work underwater, so the episodes live on the headphones. I'd appreciate feedback on the connection instructions and which headphone models people use. The compatibility guide is at https://nxz91.com/swimcast/compatibility/.
Clever fix for a problem I'd never thought about until reading this. Dragging files across from a laptop is exactly the sort of friction that stops people using something, so syncing straight through iOS Files makes a lot of sense. Out of interest, does it remember where you got to in an episode between swims, or does each one start fresh? Good luck with the launch.

Clever solution to a very specific pain point — syncing fresh episodes to a swim MP3 player has always been a clunky laptop-and-cable ritual. Doing it straight from iPhone via Files is smart. One suggestion: a way to mark episodes as listened/swam and auto-queue the next unplayed episode would make the pre-swim workflow even smoother. Congrats on the launch!
Syncing through iOS Files is a smart way round Bluetooth not working underwater. One request from the pool: a way to trim intros or bake in a faster playback speed when syncing, since there's no skipping anything with wet hands halfway down a length. Which headphone models have you found don't show up as writable storage?
