3Hi Fazier 👋 I’m the maker of SonicCaption. The idea came from a simple frustration: I often watch courses, interviews, and livestreams in languages I’m not fluent in. Platform captions are inconsistent (or locked to one site), and copy-pasting audio/text into separate tools breaks the flow. I wanted something that works anywhere in the browser — just open a tab and get live bilingual captions as an overlay. Behind the scenes, the hardest part was making it feel “real-time” without being distracting: low latency updates, readable styling on top of any website, and a privacy-friendly approach Happy to answer any questions — and if you try it, tell me what feels confusing or missing.
