Hi everyone! Simple Memo is an iPhone app for capturing short notes and sending them to your own email inbox, with optional Obsidian integration. It includes on-device voice input and an offline Outbox. I would love feedback on capture workflows: what helps you get a thought out of your head without interrupting what you are doing?
When an offline note is delivered later, does the Obsidian entry retain the original capture time and go into that day’s daily note? Also, can an automatic retry create a duplicate if delivery succeeded but the acknowledgement was lost? Preserving the capture timestamp and a stable note ID across retries would keep the inbox reliable when connectivity is patchy.
A structured mirror for your life path.
Sending capture to your own inbox first, and only filing into Obsidian later, matches how messy thoughts actually show up. The offline Outbox with retry is a quiet detail that makes it trustworthy on the go.
Email-first capture is a nice touch since the inbox is already where people look. When it appends to Obsidian, can you choose the target, like today's daily note instead of one fixed inbox file? That would drop it straight into how a lot of people already work.

Really like the attention to small workflow details here. The 0.4-second launch time, one-tap email delivery, and automatic appending to Obsidian address a real problem: losing a thought while navigating a note-taking app. The offline Outbox with automatic retries is another thoughtful touch.
