SheetBrain is a Google Sheets add-on that finds the bugs your eyes miss: broken references, mixed data types, duplicate lookup keys, and schema drift when columns move or get renamed. It runs a deterministic scan in one click — free, unlimited, no AI call needed. It also generates formulas from plain English. $9/mo Pro tier, AI included, no API keys. Works on free Gmail.

5Hey Fazier 👋 I built SheetBrain because I kept spending hours every quarter hunting down why my spreadsheet totals were off — and finding stupid bugs: a mixed-type column where half the "numbers" were strings, a #REF! nobody noticed, a VLOOKUP pointing at the wrong column after someone renamed a header. SheetBrain runs one deterministic scan across your sheet and flags all of that — free, unlimited, no AI quota, no API key. Just type =SHEETBRAIN_HEALTH() in any cell. AI formula generation is in there too for the $9/mo Pro tier — no BYO API key, no token fees, works on free Gmail. Happy to answer questions or debug a sheet if you want to throw one at me.

a tool that catches spreadsheet bugs for you is literally a cheat code, nice work!
SheetBrain solves a real problem that spreadsheet-heavy teams face daily — silent data errors that skew decisions. The broken reference detection is particularly useful for finance and ops teams managing complex models. Curious whether it handles pivot table validation too? For Amazon sellers managing P&L in sheets, this kind of tool would be a lifesaver before they graduate to dedicated analytics platforms.
Thanks Himanshu. Short answer: SheetBrain does not deeply audit pivot table settings yet, but it does scan the source ranges feeding those pivots for the bugs that usually poison P&Ls: broken refs, visible formula errors, mixed number/text columns, duplicate lookup keys, and formula pattern outliers. For an Amazon seller P&L, I’d run =SHEETBRAIN_HEALTH(source_range) before refreshing the pivot. Pivot-specific validation is a good next detector to add.
Love it - great idea I hate spreadsheets
