Every message is auto-sorted by how much it deserves your attention -- Critical, Routine, FYI, Icebox, Noise -- so important mail gets room to breathe and everything else collapses out of the way. The categories are yours to define, and Quartz learns them over time. Two things make it different: all AI runs on your device and your mail is end-to-end encrypted, so nothing is ever uploaded; and when Quartz drafts a reply, it writes in your own voice, informed by the thread and your relationship with the sender. Hi Fazier! I'm Pavel, one of three co-founders. We built Quartz because our own inboxes had become unusable -- 100+ emails a day, and since late 2022 a growing share is AI-generated noise. Quartz hands the sorting back to the machine: it triages every email by how much it deserves your attention, drafts replies in your voice, and runs all the AI on-device so your mail never leaves your laptop. This looks like a great solution for the inbox clutter! I love that the AI runs entirely on-device and keeps everything end-to-end encrypted. It's a huge relief not having to worry about privacy when using AI for emails. Can't wait to try it out during the beta!
