Free invoice generator. Nothing leaves your browser.

PrivateInvoice is a free invoice generator with no server behind it. The whole tool is static files that run in your browser, so client details, rates and bank info never get uploaded anywhere. No account, no watermark, no ads, no cookies, no analytics. I built it because every free invoice tool I tried wanted a signup, stamped a watermark, or quietly processed my data server side. This one cannot do any of that, and you can check: the code is served unminified, just view source.
Line items with tax and discounts
20 currencies with correct formatting
Logo upload, stays on your device
A4 and US Letter, color themes
Clean PDF export, no watermark
Autosaves your draft locally
Works offline once loaded
Freelancers invoicing clients without wanting another account or subscription
Small businesses that need a quick professional PDF invoice
Anyone who does not want client names, rates and bank details sitting on a third party server

7I made PrivateInvoice because every free invoice tool I tried had a catch. A signup wall, a watermark, or client data quietly passing through someone else's server. So this one has no server at all. The whole thing is static files running in your browser, and the code is served unminified so you can read exactly what runs. It autosaves locally, handles taxes and discounts, 20 currencies, and prints to a clean PDF on A4 or Letter. Happy to answer anything. Honest feedback is very welcome.
Building PZERO, saving you money - pzero.studio
Building invoices with tax, discounts, and on-device logo uploads, then exporting watermark-free PDFs across 20 currencies in A4 or US Letter, fits people who want privacy and offline drafts. For team AI that does not inflate the usual vendor bill, check pzero.studio.
Serving the code unminified so people can check the "nothing leaves your browser" claim for themselves is a nice touch. Since drafts autosave locally, what happens when someone clears their browser data or switches devices mid-invoice? Is there an export/import for a draft, or is the PDF the only copy?
Checked the privacy claim with DevTools open: 8 requests on load, all to privateinvoice.app, and nothing at all while filling in the fields. That's the right way to earn trust for a tool like this. One request for European users: dedicated fields for the VAT number and company registration ID (SIRET in France) would save stuffing them into the free-text details box.
A question from a German business: B2B e-invoicing is becoming mandatory here (every company has had to accept e-invoices since 2025, and issuing them phases in from 2027), and a plain PDF won't count as one. Any plans for ZUGFeRD / Factur-X output? It's a PDF/A-3 with the invoice XML embedded, so it looks doable entirely client-side, which would make PrivateInvoice one of very few private options for EU freelancers.
Checked the network tab too and it holds up. One thing I'm curious about on the implementation side: is the local autosave using localStorage or IndexedDB? With a logo embedded as base64 plus line items, localStorage's ~5-10MB ceiling can get tight fast, and it's a wall I've hit building similar browser-only tools (UtilsDock). IndexedDB would give more headroom for that but it's more code to get right for a draft-save feature.
