Looks solid 👍 A free, fast submission flow + focus on *new* tools is exactly what indie devs need. The “Rising Star” angle is smart too—it gives early projects a real chance to be seen instead of getting buried by big names. If discovery + indexing actually works well, this could be very useful for early-stage launches.

Fantastic work launching NewTool.site! It's genuinely exciting to see a new platform dedicated to spotlighting web tools and startups, especially with an AI-powered approach to help users navigate the ever-growing digital landscape. I'm really curious about how that "AI-powered" magic works under the hood. How does it specifically elevate the discovery experience for someone hunting for the perfect tool, making it smarter than traditional directories? And for creators, how does it ensure their innovative projects get seen by precisely the right audience?

We fetch a tool’s site, then use AI to generate a clean name, short description, and structured tags/categories. That means listings are consistent and searchable, even when creators submit minimal info. Also, AI suggests categories and tags from the site content, which makes filtering more accurate than manual or inconsistent tagging.

Clean concept. The biggest problem today isn’t lack of tools, it’s overload. Directories that help filter signal from noise are becoming more important than the tools themselves.
