An AI that's honest about how it feels about you
Misanthropic is a parody AI chatbot with one personality: contempt. Ask it for advice, feedback on your idea, or its take on anything, and it answers with a short, specific roast of what you actually said, usually ending with a suggestion about where you can go.
Free to use. No account, no chat history, nothing to install.
It's a joke, but the safety side is not. Messages about self-harm, abuse or a crisis never reach the joke model. They get a plain message with real hotline numbers instead.

12The other weekend my friends and I were having a beer. I made a joke about how I don't hate anyone in particular, I'm just a misanthrope and hate people in general. My buddy said I should make an AI company like Anthropic, but call it Misanthropic, and no matter what the question is its only answer is "go fuck yourself." I said it would be built by Monday. (Turns out, it was a bit more involved than I thought it would be.) It's free, no login. The safety side is real: messages about self-harm, abuse or a crisis never reach the joke model and get real hotline numbers instead. What's the first thing you'd type into it?
AI helps you complete all the tasks you might have planned but struggled to put into practice. Now, AI can read the instructions you give it.
Mine reads your instructions too. Then it ignores them and insults you. Thanks for stopping by.

Such a funny concept and a great break from overly polite chatbots. Congrats on the launch! 🚀
Thanks, Kufre. The polite chatbots had a good run. Someone had to be the rude one. Ask it to rate your portfolio if you're feeling brave.

Fun concept, and I genuinely appreciate that the safety side is taken seriously — crisis messages skipping the joke and surfacing real hotline numbers is exactly the right call for something like this. One question: since there's no chat history, is every exchange fully stateless, or does the bot keep any short-term context within a session? Curious how the contempt holds up across a longer back-and-forth.
Fully stateless. Every message gets judged on its own, so it never warms up to you, but it also can't build on an earlier insult. Short-term memory within a session is on the list, mostly so it can bring up what you said three messages ago.

Interesting and funny concept at the same time. Would give it a try 👀
