Ask your finance system questions in plain English
4.8(6)17Business & FinanceSaaSAccounting
Kipper is an AI finance assistant that lets your team ask questions about company finances in plain English and get live answers from NetSuite, QuickBooks, and Xero.
Ask questions like “Which invoices are overdue?”, “Who are our top customers?”, or “What’s our current cash position?” directly from Slack, Microsoft Teams, SMS, or the Kipper web app.
Instead of guessing or generating approximate answers, Kipper queries a real-time, read-only copy of your finance data to return answers grounded in your books. Queries are audit-logged, and admins control who can access financial information.
Setup takes minutes: connect your finance system, add your preferred interface, configure permissions, and start asking questions.

Hi Fazier, I'm Stony, co-founder and CEO of Kipper. I've spent over a decade building integrations between accounting systems and the tools teams actually work in, Salesforce first, now AI assistants. That left me with one conviction: an accounting system should answer a plain question without a login and a spare afternoon. Most of the people who need a number from the books can't get to it. Someone in sales wants to know whether Acme paid before making the call. An ops lead wants to check a PO before ordering. They don't have a QuickBooks or NetSuite login, and nobody is going to buy them a seat so they can ask one question a week. So they message finance, finance stops what they're doing and looks it up, and both of them lose the thread. Kipper takes finance out of the middle. Ask in plain English in Slack, Teams, or by text, and get a live answer from QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite in seconds. It's read only, so it can never change anything in your books. Admins decide who sees what, and every query is logged. Free for 14 days, no card. Happy to answer anything here, and I'd like to hear the finance question your team gets asked most. It's usually the one worth automating first.
Great use of AI for making finance data accessible without the usual ERP complexity. The audit logging and read-only approach are especially useful.

Read-only plus an audit log is the right call. Half the reason nobody gets a QuickBooks seat is the fear they'll break something, and this removes that argument. Question: when someone asks "what's our cash position", does the answer show which accounts it added up? Finance people won't forward a number they can't trace, and that's who has to bless this internally.

Yes, it does. Kipper shows the total cash position along with the individual accounts and balances that make up that total, so you can see exactly where the number comes from rather than getting just the final figure. Great question!

Querying a real-time read-only copy instead of letting the model reason about approximate figures is the right architecture choice. Curious how Kipper handles a question that spans two systems, e.g. "which customers paid late this quarter" when invoicing is in one tool and payments reconcile in another.

Thanks, Swaraj! Great question. Kipper connects to a complete accounting data source, so related records like invoices and their reconciled payments are queried within that system. For example, it can answer “which customers paid late this quarter?” using the invoice, due date, and payment data from the connected source. Kipper isn’t currently designed to join invoice data from one accounting system with payment data from a separate accounting system in a single query.
The "did Acme pay before I make the call" example is painfully real - on the sales side we ping finance for exactly that before every renewal or upsell conversation. A pre-call use case: could Kipper push a short account summary (open invoices, days overdue, last payment) into Slack when a deal hits a certain CRM stage, instead of waiting for someone to ask? That would make it part of the sales workflow, not just a finance helpdesk.
