1Building smart apps that help unlock human potential.
I built Kioki after moving to Korea with my kids. Overnight, Korean became the language of their toddler talks, arguments, and secrets. I really hated being on the outside. So I learned in the cracks of the busy workday — a few minutes of tutoring, flashcards during breaks, and a bit before bedtime. Long, perfect study sessions never happened. But spaced repetition did. Ten clean minutes on a break. Three while waiting at kindergarten pickup. These short, focused reviews stuck. The problem: most tools were bloated, capped, filled with ads, or simply got in the way of learning. Kioki is the fix. Simple, fast reviews. Unlimited decks and cards. iOS and web stay in sync so you can switch devices without friction. Easy imports from Quizlet, Anki, or CSV — so you never start from zero. Built for busy learners who need consistency and a clean, learning-first UX. I’m also studying learning science and mnemonic techniques, and how they can be applied in Kioki to improve recall. This app is my personal journey into language, built to connect with my kids and help us all learn faster.
