Congratulations on launching Halal Formosa! 🚀 This is a beautifully executed solution for a very specific, high-friction problem. The combination of an AI-powered ingredient scanner and a comprehensive digital map directly tackles the language and cultural barriers for Muslim travelers and expats in Taiwan. I'm particularly impressed by the ecosystem approach—integrating prayer tools, maps, and travel services makes this a highly sticky, daily-use app. Furthermore, leveraging a UGC (User-Generated Content) model for the product database is a brilliant strategy to scale your catalog organically while building a strong sense of community. I do have a couple of genuine questions for the team: How does your AI OCR handle the complexities of Traditional Chinese typography, especially on curved, reflective, or poorly lit supermarket packaging? Given the critical importance of dietary compliance, what kind of verification process do you have in place for community-submitted data to maintain absolute user trust? Fantastic work on building a product with such profound real-world utility and excellent user experience!

To address the two questions raised, we utilized OCR services pre-trained on extensive Chinese character datasets. Our system then cleans the output to isolate data essential for matching against our proprietary database. For community-submitted data, we employ a verification process involving experts who evaluate submissions based on two criteria: language accuracy and critical ingredients. If the submission is verified as accurate and clean, it is approved.
