Free freight class, CBM & chargeable weight calculators
Freight Calculator Hub is a free set of freight and shipping calculators built for the dock: freight class (NMFC density), CBM, dimensional and chargeable weight, pallet and container loading. Enter dimensions and weight, get the answer in seconds — with the math shown, not hidden. Mobile-first, no sign-up, no nonsense. Made for shippers, brokers, and small warehouse teams who just need the freight numbers fast.

21Hi Fazier! I built Freight Calculator Hub after watching small shippers wrestle with NMFC freight-class math on the dock. It is a set of free, mobile-first calculators — freight class, CBM, dimensional and chargeable weight, pallet loads — that show the working, not just the answer. No sign-up. Would love feedback on which calculator to build next.
Really nice application. My friend is in freight forwarding and shipment exporting. Definitely recommend it. But the watermark on the free version PDF is a bit too extreme; that's it.
Looks intresting tbh
Really practical tool, especially the fact that you show the calculation instead of just giving the final number. Since you asked what to build next: have you considered a calculator that compares different shipping options for the same shipment? For example: air vs ocean based on weight, volume and maybe rough cost ranges. Feels like that could help users one step earlier in the decision process.
a potential lifetime
A genuinely useful tool for anyone dealing with freight on a regular basis. I especially like that the calculations are shown instead of being treated as a black box. Having freight class, CBM, dimensional weight, and pallet planning in one mobile-friendly place could save a lot of time compared with maintaining separate spreadsheets. https://www.yearbookavenue.com.co

Super practical tool. Having quick freight cost estimates in one place can save a lot of time. Nice launch!
I build SmartRevenueHub, an independent review site covering forex brokers, crypto exchanges and payment rails. Mostly I measure what things actually cost rather than what they advertise.
Chargeable weight is one of those things that looks like one formula and is actually several, so a free calculator that gets it right is worth having. Does it handle the different volumetric divisors — air freight and sea LCL use different ones, and individual carriers publish their own. And does the NMFC density lookup account for pallet dimensions rather than just the item, since that's usually where a class gets bumped and the quote changes?
Looks intresting tbh
Freight Calculator Hub Your product has strong potential, but I found a few key improvements that could make it even better. I'd love to share my feedback and suggestions—please contact me at [email protected].

Having a free, mobile-first suite that shows the exact formulas behind freight class and chargeable weight calculations is a huge win for dock operations. It saves so much time compared to digging through messy spreadsheets! If you're also managing team dynamics or shipping workflows across different roles, checking out https://teamnaire.com/ can help you discover how your team naturally collaborates and solves operational challenges. Great launch!
Showing the working is what makes this usable on a dock — people get burned when a quote used a different dim divisor than the one they assumed. If chargeable weight lets you pick the carrier divisor (air 166 vs 139, ocean 1:1000 vs 1:363) instead of one default, it stays a check rather than a wrong booking. Density-only NMFC class also misses packaging: a dense item on a half-empty pallet still ships at the pallet's density.
Very practical idea...

Showing the NMFC, CBM, and chargeable-weight math instead of hiding it makes a dock-side check much easier to trust. If you are exploring AI for the product later, PZERO at pzero.studio may be useful.

Really like that you show the calculation instead of just spitting out a number — that's the part most tools skip, and it's the part that builds trust. The no-sign-up call is a good one too. Nice work, Mitch.

The transparency in showing the calculation steps is exactly what makes this useful on a dock. Most people dealing with freight class get burned by hidden divisors - air vs ocean use different volumetric ratios, and most carriers have their own. A quick calculator that shows CBM, chargeable weight, and NMFC density all in one place saves enormous time compared to maintaining separate spreadsheets. The pallet loading feature is the real differentiator here - most tools miss that packaging dimensions matter as much as item density for class calculations. Nice work making this mobile-first.
The “math shown, not hidden” approach is a nice touch. For freight class and chargeable weight, being able to see how the number was calculated makes it much easier to catch an incorrect dimension or weight input. Have you considered adding a way to save or export a calculation so a shipper can quickly share the numbers with a broker or customer?
Showing the density and chargeable-weight working rather than just the final number is the right call — that's the bit a shipper has to defend when a carrier reclasses a pallet. No sign-up on mobile also means it's actually usable standing at a dock. One suggestion: a shareable/permalink result for a given set of dimensions would make it easy to send the math to a broker.

This is a highly convenient app, very fast and easy to use.
Putting freight class, CBM, and chargeable weight calculators together is genuinely useful. Do the results show the formula and unit conversions used, and how do you handle carrier-specific rounding rules so users can audit a quote instead of treating it as a black box?
