I built Clef because searching for a business to buy is still incredibly fragmented. Buyers spend hours checking hundreds of marketplaces, broker sites, and individual listings, while many great opportunities never reach the market at all. Clef brings the entire acquisition search into one place. You can search 125,000+ active listings, discover off-market opportunities, analyze deals with AI, and manage everything through a single pipeline. We are still improving quickly, and I would genuinely appreciate your feedback. What would make finding and evaluating a business easier for you?

Such a massive time-saver for tracking down acquisition targets across the web. Aggregating all those listings and off-market opportunities into a single search workflow makes evaluating deals way less chaotic.
Aggregating listings from every marketplace is useful on its own, but the off-market part is what makes it interesting. Those deals are usually the hardest to find. How do you source off-market opportunities: are they businesses that match buy-box criteria based on public data, or owners who have actually signaled they’re open to selling? Also curious how you handle duplicates, since the same business often shows up on several brokers’ sites with slightly different numbers.
Good idea. Will be fine to browse / search for listings without registration.
i love it i cant believe it
Hey! Congrats on Clef. Are you mostly targeting search funds and individual buyers, or brokers too? I run Stackboo, a directory for SaaS and AI tools, and I think Clef would fit well. Happy to share the link if you’re interested.
Consolidating business-for-sale listings into one searchable place solves a real problem, since listings are usually scattered across brokers and regional marketplaces. How do you handle listing freshness and sold properties - is there a daily sync with the source marketplaces, or do sellers update their own listings directly?
The specific value here is the workflow consolidation, not the feature count. One suggestion: surface the time-saved number somewhere prominent, since that is the metric that actually convinces a team to switch.
we are an AI marketplace.
Finding acquisition opportunities is one challenge, but knowing which businesses are actually worth pursuing is where the real value lies. Bringing listings, off-market opportunities, and deal analysis into one platform is an interesting approach. Curious how Clef evaluates the reliability of financial data, especially for off-market businesses where information isn't always publicly available?
