18BotDesk is a 24/7 AI receptionist for local service businesses like salons, spas, contractors, auto shops and clinics. The problem it solves is simple: after-hours enquiries that would otherwise go to voicemail and get lost. You add it to your site with one line of code. It reads your pages, then answers visitor questions about hours, pricing and services, gives price estimates, captures leads, and books appointments into your calendar, day or night. It is no-code (WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Shopify, Webflow and more), one flat monthly price with unlimited chats, and setup takes about 5 minutes. It is still early, so I would genuinely value your feedback. Happy to answer any questions about how it works.

The after-hours lead loss problem is huge for service businesses. Most local shops see 30-40% of phone calls drop to voicemail after 5pm, and you lose those leads entirely. A no-code AI that reads your pages and handles these conversations means you're capturing bookings that would otherwise become competitors' customers. The fact this integrates directly with calendar systems removes the manual handoff friction that kills most automation tools. Curious whether the pricing scales if you get high chat volume - does unlimited really mean unlimited?
Yes — unlimited really means unlimited. Conversations are never metered or capped on any plan; the line on our pricing page is "Unlimited conversations, no caps — ever" and we mean it. What scales between tiers is how much of your site the bot learns (up to 15 pages on Starter, 50 on Growth) plus features like white-labeling and live team takeover — never chat volume. We eat the AI cost: metered pricing punishes a business in its busiest month, which felt exactly backwards. The only guard is anti-abuse rate limiting so a script can't hammer the widget — real customer traffic is never counted. Thanks for the sharp read on the after-hours problem.
BotDesk is a practical AI receptionist for local businesses that want to capture more leads outside business hours. Its no-code setup, automated appointment booking, instant customer responses, and unlimited chats for a flat monthly fee make it a cost-effective alternative to traditional live chat or answering services. It's especially valuable for service-based businesses looking to reduce missed opportunities and improve customer engagement 24/7.

Been trying BotDesk for a while and it's surprisingly useful. It answers common customer questions automatically, captures leads, and helps with bookings even after business hours. Setup was straightforward, and the flat monthly pricing is a nice change from tools that charge per conversation.

So relevant for SEO and today's market. Great job!
i like the seo aspect of the project
Smart use case — 24/7 receptionist for service businesses addresses a real pain point when calls come in overnight. The booking integration is what makes this practical rather than just a chatbot gimmick.
Thanks Alvin — that's the bar we hold every feature to: a receptionist takes the booking, a gimmick just chats. The capture has to finish the job.

The after-hours inquiry bottleneck is brutal for service businesses. Most contractors, salons, and clinics lose 20-40% of their inquiry volume because someone calls at 6pm on a Friday and gets voicemail, then books with the competitor who answered. Having an AI that can instantly triage those inquiries, answer common questions, capture leads, and even book appointments removes the single biggest conversion leak in the customer acquisition funnel. The no-code setup on any platform plus the flat pricing means even solo operators can start capturing those lost opportunities without adding complexity or per-call costs. From $29/month it's a pure ROI play for any service business doing more than a handful of jobs a month.
Thanks Gal — you nailed the mechanics. The 6pm-Friday voicemail is exactly the moment we built for: triage the question, answer from the business's own pages, capture the booking so Monday isn't an apology call. Appreciate the sharp breakdown.

Good Opportunity, Good design, Very HelpFul
The one-line install is the right call for this market - salon and auto shop owners won't touch anything that needs a developer. One thing I'd check as a buyer: when it gives price estimates, can the owner set hard boundaries so the bot never quotes below a floor price? A wrong quote to a customer is worse than no answer for local businesses.
Great question — and agreed, a wrong quote is worse than no answer. Estimates only ever come from the price list the owner sets; the bot never invents a number. If something isn't priced, it says so and offers to take the customer's details for a callback instead of guessing. Owners can also add hard rules like "never quote below $X" or "always say prices start at" that the bot follows on every answer.

It's really helpful tool.
one flat monthly price with unlimited chats is the right call, most competitors in this space nickel-and-dime per conversation which kills adoption for smaller shops. curious how you handle multi-location businesses, is it priced per site or per account?
