Hey Fazier! I built BingeBracket because my partner and I kept spending more time arguing about what to watch than actually watching anything. We'd open Netflix, scroll for 20 minutes, and end up rewatching The Office. The idea was simple — what if picking a movie felt like filling out a March Madness bracket? Two movies, pick one, repeat. Three rounds and you're done. No algorithm deciding for you, just your gut reactions. It started as a weekend project and turned into something people actually use for movie night. The most fun part has been watching the community battles when I post brackets on Reddit. Ari Aster fans can be pretty scathing about Jordan Peele. Would love to hear what you think. Always looking for feedback and happy to chat about the build!
This solves a genuinely painful problem — my partner and I spend more time picking a movie than watching one. The tournament bracket approach is way better than endless scrolling. Do you pull ratings from multiple sources (IMDB, Rotten Tomatoes, Letterboxd) or just one?

Appreciate your feedback and glad you liked it! We use TMDB for all the movie posters, info etc. They are a great source. But for rankings we use our in-house voting record. Up to 10k votes now so growing!

This is actually a fun idea. Choosing what to watch sometimes takes longer than the movie itself 😅. The bracket format makes the whole process feel more interactive instead of endlessly scrolling through streaming apps.
