I built Background Remover because I was frustrated with my own Shopify store's product photography workflow. Like many e-commerce entrepreneurs, I was spending hours in Photoshop removing backgrounds from product images, only to realize that transparent backgrounds weren't enough. My products looked incomplete floating in white space, and I needed professional-looking colored backgrounds that would make each item pop and match my brand aesthetic. The existing tools solved half the problem. They'd remove backgrounds just fine, but then I was stuck manually choosing colors in separate design software, often making poor choices that didn't complement my products. I needed something that understood color theory and could suggest backgrounds that would actually enhance my products, not compete with them.
