Manually finding a clean seam frame for a walk or run cycle is one of those tasks that eats way more time than it should, especially when you're iterating on multiple animation states for one character. Having it detected automatically instead of eyeballing frame-by-frame is a real time saver, not just a nice-to-have. Being able to set speed from 0.5x to 2x before locking in frame count is smart too — a lot of sprite tools make you commit to timing early and then you're stuck redoing work if the animation feels off once it's in-engine.
